Oisterwijk's monumental leather factory is home to Keuken van Leer. Once the largest leather factory in Europe. Keuken van Leer is the restaurant of Master Baker and Master Pastry Chef Robèrt van Beckhoven and his team. Van Beckhoven is the only person in the Netherlands to carry this combination of titles. At Keuken van Leer, you can enjoy the good life with a Brabant style. Hospitality, dishes prepared with love and, of course, lots of goodies from our own bakery are the main ingredients. In everything Robèrt and his team stand for craftsmanship and quality, turning recognisable ingredients and dishes into new and surprising tastes and experiences. Recognisable, but so well executed that you are unsure what you are tasting.
Bakery Bij Robèrt has also been under the same roof since 2014. Through a 45-metre-long glass wall, you can see the (pastry) bakers at work. ‘Because’, says Robèrt, 'We are proud of our craft and love to show you how we work. All our products are truly homemade, from fair trade products' Quality, that's what it's all about. Craftsmanship and first-class raw materials are essential. That is why Robèrt works with honest, where possible organic and sustainable products. So, in line with this idea, he has chosen several coffees from Lavazza ¡Tierra! ¡Tierra! is the result of Lavazza's ethical commitment to sustainability and social responsibility. The project has been running since 2002 in partnership with the Rainforest Alliance, an NGO that promotes the rights and well-being of farming communities by certifying farms that must meet strict social and environmental standards. The ¡Tierra! blends are coffees where sustainability and quality come together.
